I was wondering if the Apexi WS2 Turbo 80mm muffler would be too much (as in sound) for my b20/v project. I have to debate between a 2.5" piping WS2 setup or a 2.5"-2.25" piping Es Oval Setup.

The Apexi WS2 Muffler 80mm = which is about 3" inches w/ a 115mm tip. And since the tip of the muffler is only 10mm more:about .4"more than the WS2 60mm version (with a 2.3" ish opening) I thought I might as well just roll with 80mm version for the extra flow/performance.

WS2 Plan: 2.5" collector - 2.5" high flow cat - 2.5" piping - 2.5"-3" adapter pipe to the 80mm WS2.

OR

Es Oval Plan: 2.5" collector - 2.5" high flow cat - 2.5"-2.25" adapter pipe - 2.25" Piping to a 2.25" Es Oval Muffler.

Universal Turbo - 80mm inlet (3.15" inch) / 115mm (4.5" inch) tip
Universal NA - 60mm inlet (2.36" inch) 105mm (4.1" inch) tip

Your thoughts and or experience from owning this Apexi World Sports 2 80mm muffler on a all motor setup please. I'm trying to get performance out from the 2.5" piping and a nice quiet hollow sound.

Which do you think would be a better exhaust setup for my b20/v (200+whp) build. Would the 2.5"-2.25" Es Oval have enough flow to support my 200whp build? Or should I just roll with the full 2.5" piping 80mm Apexi WS2 setup for the extra support in performance? I don't want to go with the 60mm 2.36" WS2 because the tip is only .4" smaller than the 80mm version when I get that extra .8" of flow from the 80mm compared to the 60mm.

A full 2-1/2" system will work fine for your application.

why would u go from 2.5 to a 2.25 on the es oval setup ? .. do u have a 2.25 es oval already ? .. if not , i m sure they have a bigger one than a 2.25 ( 2.5 to 2.25 = bottleneck )

i want the 2.5" to 2.25" because that's how the ITR's exhaust setup is like. For that extra low end pedal pressure and the stealth factory look of the 2.25" es oval muffler. Will it bottleneck that much when compared to a full 2.5"exhaust? Would I be able to feel the loss in power? I'm just wondering if the 2.5"-2.25" would flow enough for my 200+whp project.

I'm trying to decide on an exhaust as well.

I have 2.5" header and I think I'm going with the omni 2.5" testpipe

I was planning on getting a catback WS2 system but they are 2.36"

Do you think 2.5" pipes from catback with WS2 will still sound as quiet and as good as a WS2 catback?

FYI, those omni test pipes are actually only 2.36" od.
