Catch can experts?

Catch can experts?
Hi guys. Have read the The Official Crankcase Evacuation thread, but still need help.
Currently have a B18c with catch can setup like this:
I would like to remove the pipe that goes from valve cover to intake pipe.
Should I plumb the system like this? Only issue I can see with this, is not as much ventilation from the back of the block now?
Or should I stick with what I've got and just put a breather filter on the valve cover?
I took the valve cover pipe off while the car was running and revved it, and a fair bit of oil vapor came out, so running it to the catch can somehow would be beneficial?
I am going to keep the drainback. Oil is changed regularly (track car) so condensation isn't a problem.
Suggestions thoughts etc would be appreciated.
specs on motor:
B18c, toda stage 2 cams, spoon cam gears, 193hp at the wheels.

Re: Catch can experts?
sorry not to thread jack but, I running into a problem with with my catch can I just started my freshly new build -NA and after a few minutes the hoses that come from the back of the block starts to smoke or maybe its steam and then oil starts to collect in one of the hose the closest to the timing belt, my catch can set-up is like the first pic but I dont have a tee or a drain back, is this issue normal?

Re: Catch can experts?
Ok, might be a bit hard to drain back to the black box port, because its got a frost plug bashed in.
Reason I want to delete the valve cover to intake pipe is because I'm getting oil sludge in the intake, and I can't put my strut brace on with that pipe in the way.
