Need a new flywheel
My goodness, there's no aftermarket platform for the TSX whatsoever it seems like. Anyway, whoever the previous owner was of my vehicle forgot to resurface the flywheel and now it chatters everytime I shift gears.
Instead of having my current flywheel resurfaced, I'm looking to get an aluminum flywheel and call it a day. Does ANYBODY know a good brand of flywheel or ANY aluminum flywheel for the TSX at all to be exact?

Re: (crix868)
Yes and No. The problem with running a k20 flywheel is that the offset of the ring gear is a little diff. and that affects how the starter engages the flywheel. It'll work but i think it'll prematurely (sp?) wear either the starter gear or the ring gear. sorry i don't remember the specifics.
The k20 clutches are designed for the step on the k20 flywheels. if i recall correctly, that either causes small fitment issues or more wear in certain spots. Again, i'm drawing a blank on the specifics.
Basically if you plan on upgrading both clutch and flywheel either stay tsx/tsx or k20/k20, doing a tsx/k20 combo COULD (and I emphasize could because i can't remember the specifics on any of this) possibly cause some problems in the long run.
ACT has a tsx specific clutch and fidanza recently came out with thier tsx flywheel. hope it helps

Re: (crix868)
I already spoke with Chris at Competition clutch and he told me the 2-800-STU was the flywheel that I should be looking for through them. It's not aluminum, but it IS an 8.5 lb. forged steel and it actually MADE power on the dyno.
That's the one I will be going with in a couple months.
