I have 2005 TSX.

I get a loud thump whenever I turn the wheel to the left about 3/4 of the way through. The sound occurs while I'm moving, either forwards or backwards. The sound only happens once while driving. Once the sound occurs while driving, it won't happen again. If I turn the car off and wait about 10 mins, I can recreate the problem.

I had the dealer check out the problem when I went in for an oil change, but they couldn't find any problems. I had the tech sit in while I recreated the problem and he heard it, but couldn't find the problem. I don't know how thoroughly they went through checking on the problem since I only went in for a oil change and the inspection was just complimentary.

The car is completely stock.

Any ideas of what this might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

you should try getting a video clip of the sound. my tsx makes noises when i turn or hit a bump but it sounds like its the lowering springs.

I wonder if it's something to do with your steering rack. Maybe something is becoming stuck and after you break it free it stops. Notice any groaning or other weird noises while you're turning?

Just to clarify. It only happens when you turn left, correct?

No groaning noises or other weird noises.
It's just one loud pop/thump sound when i turn left and only left.

I'm also having the same problem on my 04 tsx. Mine also happens every time I go up and down my drive way

I think its the barings need some grease.

Your probably slammed too much causing the tires to rub on the inside of the well.

I took my car to the dealership last Monday for them to check out the click that my car made and the tech there said that the bolt on the lower control arm wasn't torqued all the way. After they torqued it seemed to fix th problem

I had this same clunk for months on my 2005 TSX.. I finally found it awhile back, the rear bolt on the lower front right control arm had backed out about a half inch! Just to be safe, I replaced the bolt with a brand new one from Honda, and replaced the lower control arm as the bushing was slightly torn as well..

Apparently, this might be a common issue.
