K-Tuned has just come out with a harness that lets you use ANY used kpro with the tsx and you don't have to modify your stock ecu like the Hondata version (which is unavailable at this time)

yeah I don't think that's going to happen. Hondata already stopped making K-pro for the TSX.

With this harness the flashpro concept is not needed. Any rsx type s, rsx base, civic si ecu with kpro will work. You can even get a used kpro for cheap.

Also, that harness does not retain the VSA, the stock check engine light, the list goes on. I'd suggest continuing your wait for Hondata.

What's the point in waiting. Hondata already discontinued K-pro for the Tsx. Haven't heard anything about flashpro.

Let them wait. The chance is now for kpro an who knows how long it will last. So what if you lose VSA and cruise, you gain a hell of a lot more.

I already have the Hondata K-Pro for the TSX, and I'll still wait for their next release, as it will be better than buying the K-Tuned harness, and be cheaper than buying both a K-Pro and that harness. The impatient can deal with the shortcomings of the K-tuned route, and be unhappy in the end.

Of course you havent heard anything, as Hondata's policy is not to discuss products in development. Do whatever you want, I'm just suggesting you wait, or hell, I'll sell you my Hondata TSX K-Pro.

I'm very happy with my K-Tuned TSX setup. I did loose VSA (which I used to turn off), but I have a functioning MIL as well as an OBD2 port which is hooked up to the Kpro. I've been using it for 3 months with no issues.

I'm just glad I can boost my car now...

Unfortunately, with the K-tuned setup, you will also fail emissions testing in most states, as the stock check engine light and stock obd2 port are no longer working properly.

What other options are there? I am sure if there were other options one could weigh the pro's and con's but that isn't the case here. Seems better than the reflash for guys that just have more than bolt-ons. The ECU is stock and can always be switched back to stock to pass smog. We only have the testing every two years here.

Hondata pretty much gave up on the TSX. I just installed my K-tuned harness and like I stated in my thread, it's not a plug and play harness. The instructions leave you in the dark. For such a expensive harness they need to make more specific instructions. Also they should try to find a better way to tap into the vtec sensor instead of cutting it off. There's good and bad but that's part of the balance, like yin and yang. I guess it's better then waiting for hondata because we all know that won't happen any time soon.

i dont recommend taking apart your cluster cause i did and my needles were all off also i think my gas needle broke. i would rather install the kpro check engine light else where.

kpro is the best mod but installing it quite troublesome espc if u want a working wideband sensor. please seek professional for installation
