Re: how often do TSX's get stolen? (2000turbogsr)
They won't be as common targets as much as Civics, Integras, etc. but there was an earlier thread about two TSXs getting stolen and stripped. I was surprised to see that happen as well. I'm not sure how exactly they got stolen, but it's not really a common sight to see TSXs being stolen. But you never know so if you plan to get one, just like any other Honda or Acura, I'd upgrade the security on it ASAP.

that is so sad man. why do broke *** people who are too lazy to get jobs always have to ruin other people's ****? All I want is a nice car that I do not need to worry about getting stolen. And to be honest.. I thought about getting a Subaru STi or something along those lines, but I just can't force myself to buy a Subaru, as bad *** of a car as it is, I am just a Honda/Acura man.
I heard of some sort of theft deterrant system overseas that shoots a flame out from under the door... that would be nice to have. If someone ever tried to jack your **** they would be toasted on the spot. Or **** even better... make LEGAL to shoot at thieves. Taking the life of another is honestly the last thing I'd like to do, but to the SOB's who steal cars, I think they should be punished accordingly... people work their asses off to have nice **** and when some lazy bitch goes and steals it that makes me so furious, even if it is not my own car.
Damn, enough thinking about this... I am getting heated just thinkin about it.
Thanks for the input man.

where was that?! I've seen a thread with a pair of them that got jacked for the headlights but that was it.
The only one I've read abotu being stolen was when someone left the valet key in the armrest.

i guess no car is steal-proof. if anything the tsx has a good anti-theft system for the radio/navi system. thats something someone cannot steal, unless they cut it out of the car. LOL. then it will be useless.

I don't think these cars get stolen as much because they have a built in mobilizer that is almost or impossible to disassemble. In my opinion the only was to steal these cars is to tow it.

Re: how often do TSX's get stolen? (HONDA RR)
thats a TSX key.. hacked in half.. the little black box in the middle is your immobilizer.. you need it very close to the tumbler or your starter won't crank.
this is a very good way of theift protection.. since your car will turn on.. but won't crank.. im not sure if you jump the starter solinoid if it would start.. never tired. i doubt it though, ive heard that immobilizers are matched to ECU's.. not just the colums.

it is a serious pain in the ***.. but in the long run, its alot easier to have your remote inside your key, instead of dangling from your key ring.

yeah most definately it would be nicer to have just the key, rather than the key plus the remote in your pocket. Well good luck with it man.
Thanks for all the input too guys. I am going to be buying my car in about 2 weeks.
Think I am actually gonna buy a TL instead of the TSX though. My mom has a TSX and I love it but I would rather have a V6.

i am very noob on the tsx and i was just wondering why everyone goes with rsx k20 motor rather than tsx. because tsx are k24 and about the same hp as rsx right. is there much difference between those 2 engine except one is 2.0 L and the other is 2.4 L. thanks

True. Ecu will not allow cracking or ignition on, so even manual starter cracking will not start engine.

word man.... one time, they are lucky they got away - two times, they will not be so lucky.
theives are the unltimate scum of society today. especially the ones who steal from people who work their asses off to have the nicer things in life. you really can't get much lower than that. ( well maybe screwing someone else's girl is worse, but stealing is bad...period )
