As the title says, I want to replace the stock headlight bulbs with PIAA super plasma bulbs but the honda parts person I spoke with at the dealership said that my odyssey will only take the HB2 bulbs and not the H4 bulbs that PIAA's website says should fit.

Can anyone please help me out with some info?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

umm i hav a 2001 odyssey and H4 bulbs fit in it. The honda guy must be mistaken.

Thanks for the reply Civility. I'm very close to ordering those PIAA Super Plasma GT-X H4s but have to be really sure since I can't return them if they don't fit.

I'm hoping that they didn't switch to the HB2 bulbs after 2001.

Anyone w/ a 2002 Odyssey to confirm this? TIA

I truly doubt they did. The Odyssey was totally redesigned in 2000 or 2001 and hasnt been majorly changed since then. Honda would definitely not change the bulb. I think most new hondas use the H4 bulb. My civic does as well as my odyssey. U should be safe getting the piaa's.

Just checked my manual and it does say HB2 as the type of headlight bulb.
I need to find a merchant who would be willing to take it back if it doesn't fit.

It takes an H4 bulb same as 96-00 civic. I work for Honda trust me.

I found out for myself. I Bought a cheap H4 Silvania bulb at pep boys and it fits the housing. The original bulb I have says H4 HB2 on it.

I wonder what the difference is between a regualt H4 and H4 hb2 bulb? Probably nothing siginificant.

So I guess I'll be ordering my PIAA's.

which PIAAs are you ordering? I put the Extreme Whites in my wifes car and she likes it. BTW HB2 and H4 are the same bulbs. It's like 9006 and HB4 are the same bulb
