Re: New pics (and some older ones) of my '08 TL-S (marmaladedad)
Where did you get your tint done? I've been looking for a good place to tint mine.
Are you satisfied with the job? Did they offer lifetime warranty? Did they install moleskin along the window edge? Did they take off the third light in the back to get full window coverage? Did they leave the infamous 3rd gen quarter window gap on the back window?
Sorry for all the questions

I had my tint done at California Tint in Rosemead, CA. They do amazing work. I've had four cars tinted by them, and never once have had a problem or complaint with the quality of work or service provided. But for peace of mind, they include lifetime warranties on their tint and work.
As for the moleskin, I didn't ask for it, so I'm assuming it was not put in. Through frequent openings and closings of my windows, the tint has remained in the same perfect shape it was in since day one.
No gaps in the back window quarter/triangle. The tint looks uniform around the 3rd brake light area, and I don't notice a difference, but I didn't stick around to watch the install process.
Hope that helped answer your questions.
Long Beach to/from Sandy Eggo is quite a commute. Hope you don't have to do that every day.

Re: (marmaladedad)
Thanks for the answers. I found Best Window Tinting reviews that said they were REALLY good, but that was from 2 years ago. Supposedly the guy that did auto tint left the company and has come back, so I really don't know what's going on with that company. I'll give California Tint a look. How much did they charge you? Do you know what brand/kind of film they used? (i.e. ceramic, metallic, etc).
Oh and my hometown is Long Beach. I go to school down in San Diego (rarely come home).
Hopefully, soon, I too will be a legit member of the /26 (looking to get the new 250r).

They used the ceramic one - the metallic tint would play havoc with the Nav system.
Typical prices are from $160-180. I got mine for less because I've been there several times.

Mine was $36k OTD. That's more or less the going rate for the TL-S.
As for the TL and TL with Nav, I don't know. There exists a thread on AcuraZine where owners post up their car (trim, color) and price they paid.
I got mine from Sierra Acura in Alhambra.
HTH.

Go talk to Kenny Nguyen at South Coast Acura. He'll hook you up. I got my 08 TL-S for 35k OTD.

5AT. My concession for my wife, who doesn't drive stick. Although 6MT was my first choice, no local dealers had any 6MT in the colors I wanted (CBP, KBP).
