dude, just call your local acura dealer and give them the serial number of the deck or your vin#.

just ran that serial number, and it said that serial isn't found... but then again, i'm a Honda tech.. not Acura. i know they like to do that type of ****.

usually the code is on a sticker on the back side of the front of the glovebox on the left. but yeah just call acura and they can give it to you.

TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER WITH PROOF OF OWNERSHIP. and they will give you the code........

Thank you, I had to pull out the stereo 4 times because hubby kept giving me one number wrong. God Bless Husbands, anyway got the number, contacted Acura, provided proof and really great info. Not that I was lazy or a dumbass but Acura wanted 200.00 to pull out the stereo.

go to the dealer, the fact that you have cancer does NOT MEAN you should get any special treatment regarding radio codes. it takes like what a few mins to call acura customer service if there is not a dealer in your area and fax them proof of ownership.........they will be more than kind enough to give you the code if everything lines up.


There are reasons for the rules being in place........to protect people from the theives........

Here is a TIP: you don't gotta pull anything out. PRESS and HOLD 1 and 6 on the radio, turn the car on and then press the power button the radio and it will display your s/n

You certainly have a chip on your shoulder. Wow! You should have read the previous post before replying. Acura provided everything I needed once I had the correct info. Thank you for the 1 and 6, that does work on newer stereos but on a 98 the numbers generally are in a couple of places in the car. I had the wrong numbers (provided by seller)and no clue where to look in the vehicle. In my case, unfortunately, the stickers were nowhere to be found. A decent post telling me to look in the glove compartment, ashtray, trunk, fuse box..would have helped and if all else failed that the stero had to be pulled out. I would have said "thank you" to the one person that tried to help.
