Any one knows how to Come out of "Safe" Mode - Honda Navigation System
Cus of entering wrong code in first place, the Navigation system gone in "Safe" mode...and screen is locked now....it start asking on screen “please enter security code” with SAFE written all the time and it doesn’t even allow me to enter anything.

I've tried reseting it by unplugging the battery for over minute...but all in vain..please help!!! if some one knows how to come out of SAFE mode and enter correct code.

There must be a way to Soft Boot the system? or any combination of keys to allow you to enter code again...

Please anyone reply sooooooooooooooooon.........

Gone back to dealer to consult all...........no success.......the gone back to HONDA Technical team...no success.........they have gone back to Navigation System Manufacturer……..

Still I am waiting for reply Come on Guys…………some one should know this???????? This is not the very first case is it????

Surely someone should have Navigation system in “Safe” mode before………?????

So this is in an Accord?

Try unplugging the backup fuse if you know the code to reset it so you can input the code. If you don't know the code your pretty much SOL.

If it is like the coded radios found in civics, then you can disconnect the battery for 15 mins (at least 10) for a minute doesn't work, 'cuz the capcitors in the radio need more time before they are discharged... and if I remember right in my brother's civic I left the car on with the radio off for an hour and it worked?

the second is just a suggestion but leaving the battery disconnect for 15 mins will make everything lose power, and memory....

even after disconnecting the battery press on the brake to get the extra juice out also.

i would hope that will fix the problem and let you punch in the security code again.

i will ask people around about that problem.

Latest situations is: I've managed to get rid of Safe Mod. solution is..if you keep the ingnition key on for 1 hr 15 mins Sat Nav comes out of Safety MODe and start asking you Security number with cursor placed...

I tried Radio code but that wont work as it only requires 4 digit code but Radio Code is 5 digits. So no success so far.

Have spokeb to Dealer again, They cant find anything in their system about NAV Code. The only thing they have recorded in system was Radio code...shame thats not useful for Sat NAv. Its really strange....

Honda did set Sat Nav CODE. They handed Sat Nav pasport to first owner but he lost it. By the way car had Navigation working perfectly when i bought it so i never realised its gona ask for CODE in future if battery goes ..shame .....

- 1234
- first four digits of radio code...
- Key Code

I can go to dealers menu but nothing allow me to take off security code...

seems like i am the very first person in UK who needed 4 digit security code for Blaukpunkt Navigation system fitted in Honda Accord

I’ve been struggling with my Blaupunkt Navigation system for last 2 weeks or so..ALL in VAIN

I contacted my Honda Dealer but they said, they gona charge £62+vat / hr to take the navigation system out and get Serial number and then sort the Navi Code.

Anyways, i did open all Dash board, got the system out myself and got the follwing details

Car details and Sat Nav info is as follows.

Honda Accord 2.3 Type V Auto

Sat Nav details.
BLAUPUNKT-WERKE GMBH

Bedlentell DX-N
7 612 001 480 (model)

PB148010469225 (serial)


Its really a big challange still as I've provided all the details to many people including Honda Technical but so far no 1 has come back...

One thing is sure it can be retrieved..
2nd coding system works same as Blaupunkt Radios (uses the same Chip to store Pin number as Blaupunkt Radio. )

So maybe some one can try with above info and find me code...See who win the race??

That will be a big Achievement as far as unlocking the Navigation Systems...

Please helppppppppppppp..it will save me fortunes.....

Please just give me any numbers which your calculator gives after entering the above info....I'm gona try all till the very end!!!

if you are going to get the CODE for the nav you need to get the serial number for the hard drive of the unit.

the serial number in the center console is for the montor and it will not come up with a code. you must look at the harddrive unit which is under your seat or in the trunk. get the serial code off of that.

find the number for the WARRANTY department and talk to the people their. they can give you the code with a valid serial number.

i called for you but the serial number you have is invalid as they told me.

look for the unit like a CD changer and get the serial code off of that.
