Default electrical problem

my friend drives a 2002 acura tl . she told me if i could take a look at it this week, but i just wanted to know if anyone can help before i did . she told me that her car recently started acting up . basically, she said the car doors doesn't automatically lock/unlock and that she needs to manually lock/unlock it . also, she can't open her trunk because she said the trunk is opened with an electrical button and that the trunk doesn't have a keyhole . from my assumption, i am guessing it is an electrical problem . she said the only thing that could've caused it was when her dad installed a new car battery a few weeks back when her old battery died out . i dont know, could it just be blown fuses or is there a short somewhere ?

i know on the accords you can set the intermittent wiper ring to the middle and turn the car "on" (leave wipers off) to reset the multiplex unit when you install a battery or disconnect it. The TL should be similar.

on a 2002 TL the manual trunk release is on the driver's door. If it is not working you need to turn the switch in the glove box to on position before it will work.

Open glove box and on left side you will see it

i looked at the car today and tried to fix what i could . i tried to open the trunk by turning on the glove box switch on and pressed the trunk button on the driver's side and it still didnt open . i even tried to open it manually by pulling the cord several times behind the passenger seat and that didn't work either . so i am guessing the mechanism is disconnected from the trunk, am i right ?

also, i noticed that the headlight's on the car doesn't automatically turn on when you start the car and also the clock display doesn't light up . the clock fuse was blown, but when i replaced the fuse with a new one, it still didn't light up . any ideas ?
