Air pressure releases when removing oil dipstick on my 2006 acura tl
Hi
Does anyone else have this issue? My car overheated recently and I had to replace radiator and thermostat would this have something to do with puffy air sound when removing dipstick? Please note engine is running.
Thanks

Why pull out the dipstick while engine is running? That's not how you check oil and that's all the dipstick is used for.

I wasn't checking for oil level. I know engine has to be off to check just happened to do so at that point in time for no particular reason and heard a puff sound I never seen a car do that just curious if it's normal or should I be worried?

Its normal for oil vapors to come out from the dip stick or oil fill cap, if u remove them after u shut the car off.
If u ask anyone who has done alot of oil changes at a dealer, its a common thing.
U should remove the fill cap when u do oil changes so the oil vapor will subside while u drain the oil

You dont have a reason to be worried. Just dont do that again for a prolonged amount of time.

it doesn't have anything to do with what you just did to the engine. it is more than likely one of the sensors or relays that sit right behind the oil reservoir. they aren't telling the air that builds up in the reservoir where to go. I just had the same problem. Hope this helps.
