Icon2 Trans won't go in gear

2006 RSX type-s wont go in gear. When the car is running and trying to put in any gear it won't go in and also grinds if trying to go in reverse. When the car is off it will go in gear but it's also kind of hard to put in gear. When driving it wouldn't come out of gear and if it does it wont go in the next gears. SOMEBODY HELP PLZ. ASAP

Did you check your transmission fluid?

Wouldn't those cause the pedal to sink to the floor? and also when in gear and foot on the clutch it makes like rattling type kind of noise.

Hi,

First I would check the fluid in your clutch reservoir, If its low you might
have a leak somewhere. Also check your clutch master cylinder and slave
cylinder. If you need those two parts we have them available. Here is the
link for both of them.

AutohausAZ - Clutch master cylinder

AutohausAZ - Clutch slave cylinder

Disclaimer: Make sure to check the year and model of the vehicle before
placing an order.

Clutch master cylinder, check the fluid and for leaks. Might be time to replace it.

depends on whats blown and how badly...blown does mean that something is leaking, it just means that you are not pushing enought fluid to more the clutch engagment arm enought to lift the pressure plate...most times the clutch peddle will stay on the floor but not always....

i had this issue recently. I replaced both slave and master cylinders, and eventually one day the car would not go into gear while on. However, it would go into gear when the car was off. If you are having this issue, and have confirmed your CMC and CSC are working, then I would suggest looking at your actual clutch and pressure plate. Turned out that one of my springs on the clutch broke out and was not allowing the car to disengage. Good luck!
