Default Shorter Tie Rids

When getting an alignment last summer I was told my tie rods were too long and the mechanic was unable to get zero toe at the height I was at because I ran out of threads on my inner tie rods. I was wondering instead of running the Todds tie rods, would I be able to run CR-V tie rods since they are cheaper? I heard they are shorter and I'm just trying to confirm this before I buy them.

I heard the same but I cannot verify as I've never tried it. But I have seen people modify OEM ones to work

Alright thanks. I just want to find out before I purchase the Todds tie rods. Trying to save some money if I can.
