Default Radiator Fan issues 02 ep3

Before anyone jumps on me and says search. I did all I could find was older models with the same or similar issue.

My radiator fan does not come on any suggestions?

I have a brand new radiator, new thermostat, new mugen fan switch, all new fan relays. I tested both fan motors to the battery and they both work. I even used a jumper wire on the fan switch harness and both fans come on.

I have removed my a/c hoses but that shouldn't effect from the radiator fan coming on.

Any suggestions on checking anything else. I can let the car idle for 20 minutes and the fan does not come on.

Anything else I need to replace.

Does your car even get hot enough to need it?

It could be the fan switch. try putting a wire from one hole to the other in the connector to see if the fan turns on if it does its the switch.

Same, i have an '02, and thought about asking, but it hasn't been a BIG problem- YET
(mine doesn't get hot enough to read over 3/4 hot on the guage.)
but it does smell like its overheating when its hot out or stop+go traffic conditions...
nothing comes boiling out- it just smells like hot coolant leaking somewhere...
but like i say, the guage never even comes close to RED -overheating...
my fan has NEVER come on either!

i was going to bring it in for a coolant flush and have them check for leaks-
(but i have doubts that they will find any)
any others with the same problem and a fix?

So your gauge is 3/4 of the way to hot? That's definitely hotter than it should be. Mine is always less than 1/2.

NO, not always...
since we live in snow-country, its rarely over 1/2...

but in STOP and GO TRAFFIC, or HOT summer days, yes, it has risen to 3/4.
(i turned the Heat to FULL BLAST, rolled the windows down, and it went down)

like i say, it's only happened a few times, so i forgot about it until i saw this thread.

it would be nice to locate the problem...
mine's all stock- no mods to the thermostat, lines, or radiator.

If it's stock I'd go and get that coolant flush. Maybe someone mixed the coolant wrong or it's not full. Check it your fan works if you hook a 12V directly to it.

lately, since its been pretty hot around here, my car has peaked past the half mark. usually it stays way under, but like WyldRice, during stop and go, mine does the same thing
