New car cleaning questions...
I have heard before that it is bad to wax a car when it is brand new. Is this complete bullshit or should I wait a wash or two before waxing it?
Also, I have had the car a week. How long should I wait before putting on leather care for the seats and steering wheel? I was thinking around a month. Any suggestions on products other than Meguiar's Leather Wipes? I would probably apply applications every two weeks to a month. This sound about right? What is everyone else doing?
Any input appreciated.

complete BS. the car's been sitting in the dealer lot for at least a month. even if it's just off the truck, the car's been sitting in the ship for at least 3 months. even if it's just off the ship, the car's been sitting in the factory lot in japan for at least a month.

Edit: I used Mequire's NXT Generation Tech Wax on my dad's new Outback. I waxed everywhere even the wheels. It is so easy to keep clean now and looks really sharp all the time. I highly recommend it.
Although my brother once rented a Focus that was less than 2 weeks old.

Good point. I never thought about all that.
