Default my car woobles and I am unable to figure out why.

I have a 2002 ep3 and recently it has started to wobble from 0-5mph after it has been sitting a while, but after it wobbles while getting up to speed once it stops wobbling at low speeds. It also wobbles/ vibrates between 65-75 mph below those speeds and above it it doesnt it do it.

I initially thought it was the bearings but they make no noise and when i jack up the wheels off the ground the wheels dont move so that eliminated that. I looked over all the bolts and they all seem to be fine and tight.

I have googled this issue and gotten nowhere now I was wondering is someone else has had the same issue or can think of something I have not thought of. TIA.

it could be many things but I believe you have a bent wheel... get your wheels balanced they will be able to tell you if they are crocked!

When you say it sits, how long does it sit? A few hours or a few weeks?

If it sets for a week or longer it could possibly getting small flat spots in the tires from setting on the same spot on the tire for to long.

when I say sit I mean like one whole shift of work nothing excessive to the point it causes flat spotting.

I had my wheels balanced not too long ago and nothing was mentioned. also I have rotated my wheels to see if it affected anything and it did not.

Have you ever had your wheels road forced balanced? That would be a good way to see if the problem is in the wheel or tire

Can lowering springs make a tire go out of round? If so, Why? Not trying to hijack the thread just curious

could be a bent rim, however if it were I don't think the wobble would ever go away at any speed.. Assuming you have aftermarket wheels, are you running any hubcentric rings? If not that could possibly be it.

I do have aftermarket wheels but what makes me eliminate them is that I am able to rotate all the wheels in to any position and it does not affect a thing.....

I may be reading your post all wrong, so I apologize in advance. When you say rotate them in any position, I'm guessing you literally mean rotating your tires from front to back etc, but rotating your tires wouldn't eliminate the need for the rings. Your cars hub may be slightly smaller (in all positions) and your wheels hub on all 4 is bigger. Even with lugs tightened well, this could still cause a slight shimmy or vibration.. Again I apologize if I read that wrong. What wheels do you have? And size

I have changed setups on my wheels numerous times, and it sounds like your wheels are messed up. Either bent or out of balance.

if you use stock shocks with lowering springs eventually the shocks will wear causing them to no longer work properly...when this happens your tire can go out of round, get camber wear, etc...makes wobble noises, makes the car feel like its shaking at higher speeds like the op mentioned
