MIL is on in 2002 RSX Type-S; DTC is P1607
Hello, I'm trying to figure out why my RSX keeps displaying a P1607, which is an internal malfunction in the PCM. If I clear the code, it will come back as soon as I start the car again. There are only two possible causes I've found:
1) Check for loose/corroded wiring under hood
2) Replace PCM (which should be covered under goodwill warranty, right?)
It has 58,000 miles on it, and has an Injen CAI. Has anybody else experienced this DTC? Thanks

Is every Honda vehicle subject to the goodwill 8 yr / 80,000 mile warranty? I read that they are, but then I've also found a few people where the dealership quoted them $750 for a new PCM, instead of covering it under warranty.

i work for a cadillac dealership and goodwill has a lot to do with how much work you gave them under warranty and how much you go there....... if you didnt go there a lot or this is your first time dont expect the service manager to take time out of his day just to try and goodwill something for you chances are its not going to happen yes we have goodwilled stuff for peeps that have only came in there once but we knew that it was a good lick and everyone was going to make some major cash even with warranty paying for it........ so if you go there often if for nothing else to have your oil changed all the time then you have a good chance of it happening but if this is your first visit be prepared to pay but it really comes down to how good of day the service manager is having cause they look at how much busniess you give them........
edit: make sure that you take your intake off before you go
