Keyless Lock and Panic buttons stopped functioning (EP3)
The lock button and Panic buttons on my key fob stopped working today. The unlock buttons work fine and I checked with both fobs so I know its not a battery, and I checked the power lock fuse in the trunk fusebox and it wasnt blown.
Any ideas? Id rather not have to make a repair appointment for something so minor
(stock alarm)
((UPDATE: Panic button does work if I hold it down for about 5 seconds, Lock doesnt follow suit unfortunately. )

Seriously, just try putting batteries in one of your remotes. You never know, it might work.

If lock isn't working on both keyfobs there might be something makeing the car think the door is open. One of the door pins may be bad. Does the switch in the car work?
Also you said factory alarm? Is this the actual alarm or a dealer installed alarm? Or is it just the factory keyless entry?

Re: (Auex)
Dealer installed alarm, Factory Keyless Entry system.
After fiddling with door pins, opening and closing the doors countless times, replacing the batteries in both key fobs, and the power lock fuse I stumbled across a post here that mentioned something about the "backup" fuse.
I had never heard of it so I checked it out and sure enough it was blown. I dont know the exact function of the backup fuse, but replacing that solved my problem.
haha glad I didnt have to drag it down to the stealership.
