Default ipod + ep3

i just got an 03 ep3 and was wondering if there is a way to hook a ipod up to it without having to use a am/fm transmitter deal? like a way to hook it up to the back of the radio or something? thanks

You can get a am/fm transmitter for pretty cheap, they don't cost that much, lol. An aftermarket cd player with a hookup on the back would look alot cleaner though .

The aftermarket wiring setups for your stock radio system will be around $150. Similarly, an aftermarket deck with an iPod and/or AUX hookup will be around the same price. Just my 2 cents. I went with the latter on my DA since it already had an Alpine deck when I got the car.

check ebay. prices vary from 200 bucks to 90 bucks. I got the cheapo on my stock radio. just check all the websites to figure out which specific model fits the ep.

It just plugs into where the optional cd changer would plug into.

It's not even close to $200. The cord is $50 from Circuit City. I have it in my EP with stock radio.

FM transmitter is NOT the best way to go.

Get this!!!! I've done two installs of this into EP3s now. Very easy, very straight forward, and works like a charm.

LMK if you need any help.

Is there a cable that just adds a minijack input off the stock deck? I don't need it to charge my ipod or allow me to control it from the deck, just want something really simple.

i did the same install with the aftermarket cable.

its basically a cable that plugs into the auxillary plug in the back of the stock ep3 head unit and plugs straight into your iphone/ipod. works great and cheap. overall took like 20 minutes to install.

if anyone is interested. let me know..
