installing koni shocks on EP3 mod?
i have read that there are modifications needed when installing koni shocks on ep3's. Why is this? and are modifications needed for every aftermarket shock?

Here is a how-to. You have to destroy your stock struts to put the Koni inserts in them. Most other aftermarket dampers do not require this.

they are that way because they were the fisrt to come out with something for the ep's....now you dont have to cut the fronts apart with other brands that have come out in the last few months....omnis....tokicos...etc.

Actually they come that way because that's the way koni makes their dampers... if you want to pay more for some other strut, feel free, but the koni inserts is just the way that they do things. It's not better or worse, just different... just be careful that you measure 50 or 55mm struts because there's no way of telling which you have until you measure.
