Default i-VTEC Controller?!??!!

When will they be making an i-VTEC controller? APEX'i has a VTEC controller that is not applicable with i-VTEC...I don't want to custom an i-VTEC controller because I think it will be unreliable.

It is unlikely that a truly effective i-VTEC controller will ever be released.

The problem is that the VTC creates a whole lot of tuning variables not present in the old VTEC engines. It would be very difficult to design a small, cost-effective unit that would allow for tuning of all of those variables, and even if it were possible, most inexperienced tuners (read: people who buy VTEC controllers to tune their own cars) would very likely screw things up with such a device. Changing the VTEC point alone on an i-VTEC engine will not yield the best results.

You would be much better off buying a Hondata ECU reflash anyway. Forget about VTEC controllers.

It raises your horsepower, torque, redline and makes your i-vtec kicks in sooner. so it makes you a good bit faster

try the s-afc. a guy on hondatech has his tuned with one and "supposedly" he's pushing 238 whp. the v-afc wont work but the s-afc will. a few guys ahve already gone that route if you want all motor.

i did a search on the hondata website and i didnt find the hondata ECU for the EP3...if its out how much does it cost...and would that be a good first mod?...also..do you just install it or do you have to tune and play around with it...like with the V-AFC and the S-AFC...
