headlight bulbs keep blowing
A month ago my right dim bulb died. So i said, since the stock bulbs are gay anyway, why not just get some dot approved, 8500k euro designs bulbs for my car. got all 4 of them and just today my left dim bulb died. Now sure its only 20 bucks for 2 bulbs off ebay shipped to my door, but I still have to wait a week or so for them and risk getting a ticket. And no im not driving around with my brights on cus I get brighted enough as it is with these lights.
My question is, could there be a problem with my car that 2 bulbs would blow within a month? Ive never had a bulb blow on my cars in my 4 years of driving, so 2 in that short a time seems weird. Is there a way I can make sure my bulbs stop dying? Any advice on the topic would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Re: (NTCustoms)
tell me about it. A few months ago, a bulb blew. Shortly thereafter, the OTHER one blew. I bought the Silverstar bulbs from Advance, to get a little better vision. Two weeks later, one blows again. The other one went the next day.
I ordered OEM bulbs last month and haven't had a problem since. I'll be posting again if the problem continues.

It may have been at the end of its life. Its an 03, and i have no idea if its ever been changed. It just sucks changing the drivers side dim, because of the washer fluid, and my huge hands. Took me about 30 minutes to swap my one bright into the dim, just so I wont get pulled over for a week. Maybe I just have bad luck?

I agree about what a PITA it is to change these. Both of my OEM's on my '03 went out within 2 months of each other about a year ago. I replaced them with Sylvania OEM equivalents. Been fine so far.

Re: (djs87)
yeah, i had this same issue when i originally upgraded to silvania silver star bulbs as a cheap upgrade. sure they looked good and visibillity was good, but i kept blowing bulbs every month! i finally decided to upgrade to a HID system with Phillips 6000k bulbs. its been almost 2 yrs now and still havent blown a bulb and they seam just as bright as the day i installed them.
in other words, dont waste time with hallogen replacements, either use factory replacements like others have said, or go all the way and upgrade to HID, you'll love em.
