Default "faulty condensor" repair

Has anyone been successful repairing a condensor with one of those freon repair kits? Dealer quoted me 1245.95 to fix and replace a fuse on radiator fan.

Buy a tool kit and do it yourself or look for another mechanic. A fuse or even a relay switch is extremely easy to replace. Is this for an RSX?
