EP CIVIC, CRANKS NO START NO SPARK
Gent,
Hello, I own an ep civic, the only one in my country ( it was Norway embassy's property at first place.) So there is no Diagnosis equipment available for this car. its a 2003 model ran a good 90k kilometers. everything seems perfectly fine and in shape. Car was running with no difficulties, then it just stopped working. I'm NOT receiving any sparks, though the lights and interior is receiving electricity. SUM UP it cranks, there is no spark. all fuses are intact. what could be the problem?
I am alone wolf, stuck in very bad conditions and a **** hole of country. All the help you provide, is appreciated on the other side of the earth.
Thanks

1) Make sure all engine grounds are clean, connected, and tight... including the main ECU ground on the engine harness.
2) Check all ECU fuses to make sure you are getting power to the computer.
3) If you have a "Check Engine" light, post your codes here. A crank position and/or cam position/phasing code may limit spark if the positions are far enough away from each other... which means the engine has jumped time.
4) If everything above is good... you may have a bad ECU.

unfortunately there no diagnosis devices available in my country for this vehicle. so i can not read the codes.
YeahButone of them: 1- immobilizer or inertia switch 2- ECU (broke down completely or just the ignition map is erased somehow.)
Would you please give an explanation on inertia switch and immobilizer articles? As i am aware, with inertia switch malfunction even the starter shouldn't work. is that right? and in case of immobilizer it is said that the injectors would not receive a spraying command, but sparks should be firing. Are these phrases true?

i highly doubt its any of those problems unless the cars been torn apart and rebuilt a couple times the car is fairly new still and since you got it from the embassy its probably stock and has not been driven hard
that leads me to believe maybe your battery is going bad? i had a similar problem with mine.. all lights in the cabin worked fine the car would crank but never turned on
turns out the battery was dying and didnt have enough voltage to turn the car on but had enough for the cabin and radio
borrow a battery thats in good condition and see if that fixes it..
you'd be surprised as to how the most simple fixes cause such huge issues.
let me know if this fixes the problem for you
