70mm vs 60mm exhaust
My best friend has a 04 S2K and he told me that he has been reading on the S2K Forum that the guys are going with 70mm and not 60mm because of better gains in hp. It was stated that the 70mm exhaust on the S2K was putting out more then any of the 60mm exhaust. I know the S2K stock exhaust is 60mm or right at 60mm already. I was wondering what do you guys think a 70mm exhaust would be good for the DC5 if its N/A??? I know that the 70mm is a turbo size exhaust for our cars but would it still do the same with hp as for the S2k?

80mm is around 3" equivilant and would be for turbo. just do a 2.5" exhaust on a N/A setup, no reason to go more.. its just going to be SOOOO loud!

It won't hurt. It will help a little bit if you are in a hardcore NA build. I'm talking about 1500-2000 dollar headers, complete engine build, etc. Not just basic bolt ons.

Re: 70mm vs 60mm exhaust (Kal)
If you have a minor build then there is no way a 70mm will help you for the money your going to put into the exhaust system. You need more power to actually benefit. I have a 70mm exhaust on my turbo GSR. Before I went turbo I had it on my all motor setup but I was also pushing out 194whp all motor. I still think it might have been too big for my setup.....I would stick with 2.5" until you get into some real serious power.

You should go with the thermal 3-inch, if you plan on doing cams later on. The hp gains have already been proven with the 3 inch exhaust on a NA rsx. With my 2.5 inch exhaust and my setup that i have im only getting 220 WHP. With the 3 inch i will def be around 230.

Re: 70mm vs 60mm exhaust (Davanca)
Davanca... so what kind of set up do you have?? just want to ask so I can have an idea of what I need/want to do if I go with the 3in and if not then i'll just go with the 2.5in.
Also guys, I've been looking at the RS*R GT2... ( http://www.rs-r.com/products/exhaust/gt2.php ) ... what do you think of this exhaust system??? Is there anyone with this exhaust already and if so do you have a pic of it on your car??? trying to see how the exhaust looks like on the car.... the biggest thing that i'm wondering about is do the exhaust angles up or not..... kind of like the N1 .....

Oh and just to let you know 60mm is a 2.36 inch exhaust. You need to find a 65mm exhaust to have a true 2.5 inch setup.
