Icon2 Replacing air filter on cold air intake - reset ECU?

The car had a cold air intake installed when I bought it but I have no idea the brand or amount of time the filter has been on so I bought a k&n to place it.

Should I reset the ECU for this simple change or should it be okay to just swap it and run with it?

edit: im also going from winter to spring seasons in Michigan and ive read its wise to also reset on seasonal changes too to get the proper readings for best efficiency, is this also true?

Thanks

The ECU will automatically adjust for any differences in "winter gas" vs. "summer gas". I wouldn't re-set it. Re-setting it will only cause worse mileage/performance until the ECU re-learns its ideal operating conditions.

More about winter gas:

weird I read that was a falsehood and there is no relearning during driving and that simply letting it run for 15 minutes at idle without touching the gas after clearing it was all that was needed for it to determine how to set itself.

Nice link on the summer/winter gas, good to learn something new =D

Not true, the ECU has to go through several "cycles" to calibrate itself. A cycle consists of starting the car, driving up to operating temp, and shutting the engine off again until cool. Rinse and repeat.
