Default windshield trim question

The windshield trim on my R is a little sundamaged and shrunken. I know you can remove/replace the L/R side trims without pulling the windshield. But can you remove/replace the upper trim without pulling the windshield?

I would also like to know if someone can tell us how to remove the trim without damaging it.

It would make cleaning the car so much easier,

I know to remove the roof trim you need to pull it a bit towards the hatch and it should pop out of place.

You can remove the upper molding while the windshield is in however you can not install the new molding with out removing the windshield.

FYI: Once you remove the old upper molding you will have to purchase a new piece since the upper molding is not reusable. Furthermore the two side moldings are reusable as long as they are undamaged when removed.

Where did that pic go? That was a great reference/resource for others.

I deleted my post, because it was only the removal - which is easy. I took it down because the installation of the new trim piece looks to be a royal PITA.

Here's the installation. Note these are procedures for entire windshield replacement, so some of this may not apply to just replacing the top trim.

I will not be held liable for any issues!

I sized them a little small, so you'll want to view them in Picture Viewer or Paint or something.

You can take it out but you can't get the new one in unless you take the glass out.

Not high on my list of to-do but I'd like to replace the pitted windshield and shrunken molding. Are all the moldings still available from Honda/ Acura?
