Yes. And amazingly, it controls (restricts) oil flow to the cylinder head from the main oil galley downstream of the filter.

so if it is plugged what would happen, or if it doesnt restrict oil?
my ITR dun have vtec now, everything is working, except, i do no have oil pressure going to the vtec solenoid, i have a lil bit of oil, but very little. when i plug in my oil pressure guage, it doesnt even register anything, do you thk this oil orifice have anything to do with it?
i just rebuild my engine btw. the cylinder head was sent to machine shop to have the valves replaced, entire engine has been cleaned. and i assembled it myself, the cylinder head has been overhauld by machine shop.

Define 'cleaned'. Hot tanked? Bead blasted? Short block reassembled? block decked?

i do not have pic of my block now.
block was disassembled and hot tanked.
machine shop reinstalled everything on the block except for the crank bearing piston.
cylinder head was hot tanked also, the head was resurfaced, all the lifters, springs was old.

Oil control orifice located between 2 &3, on intake side. In pictures 1 and 3, it is shown installed, on pic 2, it is removed.

Back to cleaning... were the block and head bead blasted? If so, did you check all oil passages and blow them all clean?

And yes... the oil control orrifice controls oil flow into the head. Do you see any other passages on the deck of the block that aren't headbolts, cooling passages, or oil drains?

You find a small bolt that will thread into the hole and once inserted, just pull straight up.

i found a easier way....took a blow gun....blow in the hole, have someone cover one of the oil passage hole on the left hand side, the air pressure pushes the oil orifice up by itself....looked at the oil orifice...nth special....o-ring intact.....on to diagnosing something else...
snapped a few pic, will upload later as i have a few question to ask...
can someone telll me which hole on the cylinder head(head gasketside) does the oil feed into the head....i know the oil orifice hole does, but what else?

After more diagnosis, the oil orifice seems normal.
On to diagnosing the vtec solenoid and its nearby passage.

In this image, for some reason the vtec rocker arm locks to the left rocker, and doesnt llock to the right rocker, all the cylinder is like this, is it normal?

Some more labeling, I dont understand the function if each hole in this picture. any help will greatly help me in diagnosing this problem

A pic of the actual solenoid, the round "pusher" moves freely
