yeah I had a silencer on my N1 before and it did quiet it down alittle bit but it is still pretty loud.

I wouldn't pay the $70 for the spoon silencer but I would get the cheaper generic ones. I never really put the silencer on becuase it would restrict the flow and that would be counter to the reason why you put on a aftermarket muffler to begin with.

I dont like my silencer it makes the car sound nasty imo. But it does bring the volume down nicely.

It will more than likely bring you back to what you were at before the exhaust or could be worst than stock.

When you say LOUD!!!! Do you mean ALL the time or just when you STEP ON IT?

If you use the Silencer I am SURE it will not put you back to STOCK performance cause it is Still a Straight through design. The Silencer doesn't restrict the air flow that much. Spoon Silencer is about 50 bux.

I personally have never used one nor have I heard what the car sounds like with it in. Is it one of those motorscooter or weedwacker sounding things? I REALLY CAN'T stand that noise.

I put the silencer in my N1 one time. I couldn't stand it. Mine also fit like crap and rattled at idle.

It WILL put you back to stock if not worse. It hinders performance in more ways than you imagine.

Sure it is still straight through but all the air flow is not blocked by the silencer.

I think a larger resonator will quiet it down more.

with a better sound.
All the N1's I have heard have been deep toned and when you step on it then it gets LOUD.
Hmmmm I am wondering if I should re think.... You have the Spoon Bpipe also right?

man i got one coming for my gsr and i was told it wasnt that loud. from what i read and told "it is pretty quiet till about 4-5k" and when vtec kicks in is when you notice it. but this makes me rethink about the purchase. just getting the axle back for now. no-b-pipe

PlikityPLAH so what b-pipe do you have? stock?

unless you like not getting busted.
Spoon N1 is loud for a street driven car. Without my silencer I would have been ticketed in CA no doubt.
