Spark Plug Gapping Questions
So I got me some NGK's PFR6G-11 yesterday along with a SP gapping tool. I checked all 4 and they were at 1.05mm. Being the perfectionist that I am, I gapped them the extra .05mm just so they're up to spec.
1.) Was this necessary?
2.) Doesn't the sliding motion needed to find out the current gap size on the tool damage the tip of the sparkplug?
3.) What size socket do I need to install these suckers?

Re: Spark Plug Gapping Questions (CPR)
Well theoritically, the longer the gap, the more intence the spark will be (up to a certain point where no spark will be generated) but I am not sure 0.5 mm will make a big difference.
The gapping tool should not damage the tip unless you keep sliding for half an hour
You ill need a spark plug socket (with a rubber insert to be able to remove and insert the spark plug in its hole easily). If you have to buy one, bring a spark plug to the store to make sure you get one that fits. I think there is two or three standard sizes.
