Icon2 Smog advice in CA

I went and had the car tested and failed. HC at 15mph was 71 (max 62).
So, I replaced my broken thermostat, ECT sensor, fan switch, and sending unit, spark plugs, plug wires, changed oil, cleaned up air filter. Used Blue Sky Clean Air fuel treatment (guaranteed to pass! yeah right....)

Went back today to get my free re-test hoping and assuming I would pass this time.
It got worse.
HC at 15mph went UP to 106.

What does this mean? I figured since the thermostat was broken that's why it was dumping fuel before, and after fixing it I had really, really hoped that would lower HC output.

Latest results were:
15mph 15.0%CO2 0.1%O2 106PPM(HC) 0.24%CO 365PPM(NO)
25mph 15.0%CO2 0.0%O2 45PPM(HC) 0.13%CO 122PPM(NO)

Just went threw same thing. Make sure u have a good tune up on car plugs and new plug wires for sure. New magnaflow ITR Integra specific cat was the difference for me. If u r in socal message me i have a guy who can do it for a fair price and he modded mine for a 2.5 header and exhaust.

A leak in the exhaust manifold or header before the O2 can also cause increased HC at low load. Mine was failing on idle because of this. What happens is it causes fresh air to be drawn into the pipes with the burnt exhaust. The O2 sees this and adds more fuel to try and compensate. This results in running rich as there is no way to burn this rouge air outside of the combustion chamber.

If you have an aftermarket header, consider checking it closely. Mine was caused either by a slightly warped flange and/or a non sealing slip-fit collector. I used hi-temp copper rtv in both places and it passed.

Is there a direct fit aftermarket cat? (Bolt up?) Anyone know the part #? Does the magnaflow 46629 fit? They don't seem to list the dimensions...
