My radiator has a little crack somewhere on top and is leaking coolant slowly, and I will need to get this replaced ASAP.

Does anyone know the Part # for the radiator? Is the Radiator in the Type-R the same as any other Integra?

Also Does anyone know the part # for the thermostat for the Type-R? Cause I just noticed my Radiator was 3/4 full of coolant and my temperature was fine on my guage cluster, so I'm assuming my thermostat is gone also.


Also is it hard to replace a radiator? I have been busy these days and want to know how long would it take If I did a DIY.

www.pershingauto.com/index.html check'em out, or go to an autozone and buy one. Is this your 1st time, anyway shouldn't take long, no longer than 2 hrs for u to do by yourself. Take your time and don't rush. Might want to get new hoses upper and lower while your at it. Hope this helps

The oem radiator isn't so great, imo. Because it's plastic AND metal and they have different expansion rates so over time it just develops a leak between where they meet... :/ Look into a full metal radiator - aluminum if you do track days. IMO.

koyo is the best cost to benefit with aluminum. construction is similar to griffin or fluidyne

koyo is also a good deal with plastic oem, they are $105 shipped and fit exactly like oem

the aluminum koyo is FAT and could be a problem with a race header and oem fans. then again it cools so well you really don't need that much fan. it's also the only one that comes in denso or showa for an exact fit. mish is a generic fit for fans and is a basic china radiator. the koyos are made like real oem or race radiators

The Koyo seems like an economical choice. They offer versions for the Denso (ITR) and SAK (non ITR) applications.

I just noticed mine leaking yesterday and my nose is like a dog's. I shall order one.

Mine was leaking last year. I bought a C&R aluminum radiator. Fits great but there are no mounting points for an OEM fan. I went with aftermarket slim fans.

Installation took about 45 mins because I also replaced my hoses and those old OEM clamps/hoses were a bitch to remove. I bought it from an H-T sponsor (Alex@one6).

It takes about 5 minutes to change the radiator on the race car, but there are no fans in the way. Even in a stock car you are looking at 6 bolts and two clamps.

The sensor for the coolant temp has no relation to the water level in the radiator. The engine is going to be full of water until you are really low on coolant.

Save your money on a "performance" radiator on a stock motor. If you want to upgrade your cooling capacity spend the fancy radiator money on a little oil cooler kit, that's the weak link on these cars.
