Default Questions about Tein HA

Hello all
I had just bought myself 2000 year model DC2-R. and i want to purchase a set of Teins HA, (from the post i read here and other forums, it sounds like a fairly good sussy for the DC2-R ).

I am from Sydney Australia, i have contacted Teins distributor and the price they quoted for the Tein HA were $ 2300au and $3kau which comes with pillow ball upper mounts.
All.

The dealer also mentioned I have to do a bit of modifying in order to fit the rear sussy, is that true? and how hard is it to modify?

My question, is that the standard price for the HAs, or are they over priced?

Thank you for all the help.

you shouldnt have to modify anything to make it fit, make sure it is for a ITR and not a GSR, the rear LCA's are different, if it is a ITR model it will bolt on w/out a problem

if I'm correct the HA only came for the ITR.... if you had a GSR u needed the ITR RCA. They still sell the HA's in australia?

No modification needed for the TypeR if the HA's hit is meant for the DC-2R.

None was needed when they were installed on my car.

Just be sure the kit is for the DC-2R and you should be fine.

That is a lot of money for coilovers. Roughly, around $2000. Twice as much as they are worth used and about $700 more than they should be new. If you search in the classifieds, there is a guy selling HAs for an ITR. I'm sure with shipping and stuff, you can get it way cheaper.

Upper ball mounts make the suspension stiffer vertically, the stock mounts are rubber so they deflect some during turn in... with the pillow ball you'll get crisper response.... and a bumpier ride. I drove them on the street with no complaints.

By the way I sent you an email about where to get the Teins for a good price, if you didnt get it feel free to email me.
