Putting head back together, need help ID'ing vtec orings and where they go!
hey everyone, im putting back together a b series motor and figured this would be the best place to ask.
head was rebuilt etc and i think the machine shop managed to lose the center dowel + oring
i have snaps of my motor before machine shop and after machine shop.
i tried to hunt down on the interwebs what was missing.
here are my questions, and any help is appreciated.
1) i know the center dowel + o ring is missing. are they #23 in this part diagram?
http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no
2) the oil control orifices by the cam gear end of the head, does one get an o ring and the other does not? im confused on which gets an o ring. one of the orifices protrudes out and can host an o ring while the other orifice (closer to intake manifold) is recessed in and cannot accommodate an o ring?
3) is it correct to say the protruding oil control orifice gets and o ring and the one closer to the IM doesn't get one?
im attaching pics of my head pre and post. the pre pic was lousy and i could not make out the info that i needed. any wisdom is appreciated.
here is a pic i found from endyne:

Re: Putting head back together, need help ID'ing vtec orings and where they go!
I'll help.
1. Part numbers for the o ring and dowel under the middle cam cap are:
94301-08100 pin, dowel (8x10)
91302-GE0-000 o-ring (8.8x1.9)
2. Both orifices, intake and exhaust side have an O-ring. Its not only a orifice but a pin to lock the rocker shaft in place. Thread an 8mm bolt into it and pull it out to replace the O-rings.
91306-PJ4-000 o-ring (6.8x1.9)
3. No, see #2
4. That is way too much assembly lube
