Default Problem W/ the R! Need Help!!!

My R runs fine as i drive normaly but if the car is not started and i have my radio on anything else on, when i try to start the car up agian its wont start at all. Also today i had to put my hazzards on with my car complete off, came back to my car and the car wouldnt start at all once again. But once i get a jump the car wont die until somethin is on w/ the car off. But the battery does feel a little weak, also this is a new battery i just purchased last week. Hopeing you guys could shed some light on to what this could be, my guess is its my alternator slowly going out on me.

Put a volt meter at the output of the alternator and rev-up the engine, the meter should shows about 12-13 volt at idle. As you rev-up the engine, the voltage will "swings" up to about 16volt may be. This is a sign of a good alternator.

easy test, requires no gauges or other test equipment. start the car, while it is running, disconnect the battery positive terminal. if it stays running, the alternator is fine, the battery is bad. If it dies, the alternator is dead and is not charging the battery correctly. The alternator is a stand alone system when the engine is running, it will keep the engine and all normal systems up under normal load. (this does not include your full cap for the 6 amps you have in your trunk, if you have a full boom boom system installed)

Did you experience any problems before you got the new battery. Is it the same battery you were running before? If you changed it to a different battery that could be it. If its not the battery i'd say its your alternater from the way it sounds, but i'm not sure.

I had charging problems in the past that was sourced to the transmission ground. Check it out.
