Oil filter that eliminates need for oil regular oil changes?
http://www.fuelpolishing.com/msg3.htm
I have heard about this before but just started looking in to it. I heard the US Military uses it on planes because the cost of changing the oil is so expensive. Likewise large truck fleets use these apparently because the cost is very high as well.
Anyone ever look in to this or try it out?

while aircraft oil changes may be costly...
car oil changes are not
you have to ask yourself is it really worth it if your wrong?

I don't think that is the entire point Ken. I mean; $150 limiting my oil changes to oil four times a year; that saves a lot of money, regardless of the oil I use.
On a different topic; what oil would you recommend I use in place of Redline that will still offer good protection for my car?

"When full-flow filters clog, a bypass valve opens. The bypass valve allows dirty unfiltered oil to circulate on the premise that dirty unfiltered oil is better than none."
- that doesn't sound good to me. i wouldn't want to ride around with factory filter clogged.
oil may break down after a while, from high temps and whatever else, - another reason to change it..
that article says their system doesn't flow as fast, so theres need for factory filter, i'd like to know if it will shorten oil flow for our performance engines.. and last, instead of changing one fitler, you'll have 2 to take care of.

I've seen these systems before, and they make perfect since. Basically they constantly filter your oil with a secondary pump and filter. The current filter cant do but so good of a job because a certain rate of flow is needed.
However, your oil does more than just suspend particles. It also had anti-wear aditives in it, that get used up, especially with high-reving cars.
By the way, hows redline working for you? It created 3-4 times more wear in my type-r which scared me.

You should take a oil sample before you quit using it.

I think synthetic is a good idea, given the temperatures in your area. I've had good results with Mobil 1 and Pennzoil full synthetic. You can get Mobil 1 at Sam's for just under $24/case.

A&H Motorsport is usually a good bet for low prices on common maintenance items. ITR filters are currently $5.05 each or $48/case.
