Default Oil Drain Plug

What size socket wrench do you use to remove the oil drain plug?

What about the plug washer size? Can you just buy the washer at any auto parts or hardware store?

Do I need to buy a special torque wrench to get it torqued to spec?

Just do it by feel, if you ever turned a wrench before, you should know. As for the washer, just hit it from honda/acura. They are like 25 cents each.

I think you can get the washer you need from an acura dealer, when you get your oil filter. I'm not sure of the size.... acura always asks me if I want that washer when i order filters.

How the hell do you guys get jack stands under the car? The support points are only like 2 inches wide, and with the jack, there is no room to fit the jack stands. I gave up on it and am going to the dealer to do the change for me.

Jack your car up from the front (preferably with a hydraulic jack not the OEM screw type), the front jacking point is located at the center of the lower rad support. Or if you have to use the OEM jack, jack it up at the jacking points and put the jack stands on the front tow points (there's one by the tranny and the other is by the a/c).
