OEM JDM HID.... problems... the bulb's connector BURN
I got my JDM conversion for my integra. Everything worked fine, I tested the foglight, the high beam, the city light and it worked #1.
Today I tried my HID. I pluggued everything right (the bulb wasn't flashing like a strobligh). but as soon as juice is on..... it burns ! the connector on bulb starts burning...
I used a car 12volt realllly standard battery.... pluggued this directly to the balast, and the balast to the bulb..... would it be the reason why it burns...... ? and why ? everything worked fine with the other light of the headlight.

I tested my light like that originally and it didn't do that. I would make sure the ballast is good and also when you wire it into the car you will have a better chance of not burning bulbs like that

I had a similar problem like this (DC2 teg w/ Phillips HID w/TSX projectors), except my HIDs have been working fantastic for years
This weekend I hit a bump pretty hard and I think it shook loose the ballast connector to the bulb.
Long story short, the light cut out, now when I plug it in it pops, crackles, and then smokes, but the light does light.
Anyways I think the new ballast is what I need since bulb still works. How would you test a ballast with out a light? Im guessing multimeter but for what?

what harness do you guys use to add HIDs.
i have a wiring schematic that cost me about $10 to make and works great (used on another vehicle with 9006 low beams upgrading to OEM HID headlights.
Pm me if you want it because i rarely come into the ITR forum
