Hey whats going on guys? New member long time lurker lol Anyway I've owned my R for 8 years , unfortunately she's sat for about 2 1/2 years now due to life (money, buying a house etc. etc.) I've been a Toyota tech for 7 years and started the idea of building the batmobile when she was stolen on july 17th. Yup sucks , to bad they only made it 50ft before they blew the clutch and ditched it! Then the next day I was diagnosed with cancer so I am out of work and plotting the build , especially after seeing so many great rebuild threads. I'll post some pics soon !My ideas so far are rebuilding the engine with lots of goodies and throwing the jrsc charger back on with a cooling idea I have and restoring it. My question to you guys to delete a/c and p/s or not? That is the question! Don't worry she's safe with a new security system called a AR15

If you are planning on keeping the caR full weight and upgrading tires to wider and stickier, leave the p/s on. Trust me on this A/C on or off is pretty much your preference.

You could convert the PS to the MR Spyder Electro hydraulic unit. I have done this on my ITR swapped 88 Integra. Great feel, less engine drag, and it actually nearly turns off at speed to give more road feel.

Yeah, I have to make a tinypic acct or something etc. to post pictures. But yeah so far i'm thinking,a/c has to go, take out power steering and swap a manual rack in,take out factory steering wheel as I have a bride wheel laying around. I just ordered a bunch of arp hardware , headgasket and a few other things.94-rs i'll defiantly send you a message as I need a lot more gaskets and odds and ends. BTW you guys see 97teg's rebuild that's crazy and I hope comes out that good! If I don't respond for a few days or anything i'm probable locked up in the hospital getting chemo , but i'll keep you guys posted on the build, parts and parts for sale!

Damn, sorry to hear about the cancer. That's horrible . Good luck and stay strong.

The electro PS pump is a good alternative to the factory system so if you want to keep the PS then that would be the preferred route. Ditching the A/C is fairly straight forward and saves some weight and engine drag if you don't think you'll need it.

Just a heads up if you are ditching the a/c to save weight you may not want to get the electric PS unit and just delete both. The pump is pretty heavy.

Danger , trust me man beating it is the first and most important thing I have going on right know! But having a distraction from all the crap that come along's with it such as dealing with blue cross who fights you on everything , is honestly awesome .Getting to see everyone else's builds and hunting for deals !epic!!

My girl just had surgery for thyroid cancer. Im not even home to be with her because she insisted i finish what im doing overseas. Sacrifice for a better life. She is way stronger in mind than me. Honestly this whole past two months, if i didnt have hondatech/nwp/instagram to distract me with ITR and jdm crap, i wouldve gone out of my ****** mind worrying. Cancer is a bitch and affects so many.

I didn't mean what i said in a bad way, hope you didn't take it that way. My mom was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and passed away 5 days later. I'm glad to see you fighting, a lot of people don't get the chance. I pray you can beat this soon.

No worries danger , I didn't take it the wrong way at all , your perspective is 100% correct! I go in for round 3 tomorrow , and a update on the car got all new gaskets for the R thanks to a friend and rs94turbo! Also got some arp headbolts and rod bolts!
