my Teg @ the truck scale, how much is yours?
I weighted my car on the truck scale including 25lbs of stuff in the car, 55 lbs gas in the fuel tank. My trunck is striped and I have no a/c, but the heavy turbo stuff. I am about 165 lbs
The scale showed 2687 lbs. Not bad at all imo, thats about 2442 lbs w/o me, trunck stuff and gas. This is less than in the car papers which is dry weight too. Now if I remove the engine oil and other stuff it will come down close to 2400lbs.
I guess an n/a ITR can come down to 2200lbs with light header, light exhaust, forged 15inchers like Spoons SW388 and some real bucket seat(s).

Re: (none) (coquinn)
Ive always been curious, can you just go into a truck weigh station, roll on the scale and drive away? Is there anyone there to stop you, and do they care?
Also, how much does a gallon of gas weigh?
While we're at it, is there really a Santa Claus?

Re: (none) (MugenFG360)
ironically, car weights are some of the most inaccurate figures to compare, especially those done at truck weighing scales. the accuracy of a truck scale is not as precise as it is meant to weigh a truck weighing several tons. furthermore, calibration errors and differences make it near impossible to compare weights measured at a truck scale
weights measured through corner balancing or actual race weighing scales are much more precise and comparable
incidentally, i measured the weight density of Chevron 94 octane gas before and found it was 1.608lbs/L. on a full tank for a DC2 (50L) that works out to 80.4lbs

Interesting! Thats a lot more than I expected.

When Ferrell, Chris93si, and myself weighed our cars, it cost us $8 a piece.
