they work very well and look quite nice. The surface on the brake and clutch looks odd but is very grippy, even when wet.

Are they worth $170? Probably not. But if you have the money...

I just got mine couple weeks ago and I'm really loving it. They are pretty expensive but very high quality and grip WAY better than stock.

from what i have read on this board, other pedals take two or so hours of install and install is a pain. i heard they are worth it.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=127957 is what i was looking for.

Picture this:

You’re heading into the last corner at a descent click. You set-up the car under breaking and start going through the gears a la heal and toe and then suddenly your foot slips off your cheap grip-less break pedal. In those brief moments your car slams into the pit wall.

Small mistakes can cost a lot. Mugen pedals are more then pretty, they are effective! Are they worth it?

Probably not, but don't go cheap and sacrifice grip with pedals. You might pay a little more down the road.

Worth the $, but not what King motorsports is selling it for ($170). Wasn't there a group by put on my ITRinEJ? His prices are more do-able.

We all know that there's certain items that we buy that serve no function and maybe we just like the way they look. That's fine. People who spend their time worrying about what someone else does to their car has too much time on their hands (if you fit that description I have some coloring books I can send your way to occupy you).

Get what you like. If you want overpriced JDM parts that's great. If you want to make your car look like it should be in an APC catalog, that's fine too.

I'm addressing the whole "is it worth the $" issue.

When buying parts such as these cost is really not an issue. Yes, it's overpriced because we're paying for the name. Many people don't care if they can get a cheaper alternative, but if that's what you're looking for then Mugen/Spoon/etc isn't for you.

Wear out?! At $170, and made of metal, I should hope they never wear out.

i havent exactly seen an exact alternative of the mugens as in the the grippy feel of the clutch and gas pedals. I was looking to get mugens theyre the ones that i like the most.(im not bashing them nor the cost)

What i originally meant is, that for $35.00 u can get a set of smooth sparco or momo pedals, and cover the clutch and brake pedal using that grippy stuff they use on skateboards. Viola (sp?), good pedals with the feature everyone loves about the mugens.

The only complain about them is: Those rough surfaces on the clutch and brake pedals hurt like **** when you drive with only socks on or bare foot...I like the wear sandals during summer...

I like it because it's not a "clip on" kind of aftermarket pedals. I own a set because my friend gave me one as a present. I wouldn't buy it if that's my own money.

I can't believe no one has suggested OMP yet.

Cheap, BOLT ON, and grippy. Look good too IMO.

You remover the shitty stock pad and drill the stock pedal. No big deal. At least you know that your pedal cover wont fall off.

edit: Nope, sweet and creamy.
