Mugen MF10 16" +43 offset owners check in pls
I was going through the archives and found most threads regarding tire brand/tire size either old or condradicting. I will be shopping for tires for these rims and I'm a little concerned about rubbing.
My car is lowered just a bit, and I wanted to know tire brand and tire size that some of you are using with this offset. I dont want to spend a **** load of money on tires to only find out the tires rub. Pls note rolling fenders is not an option.
Thanks in advance,
Joe

I would say that 205/45 would fit nicely, the camber will tuck them in at the back.
I friend of mine is running 17x7.5" +42 with 205/40 and they dont rub

205-45-16 will work well. with a 16x7 with a +43 offset you will not have to mess with your fenders. I have the same thing but in the Rota flix, sports bronze. I am lowered on Tein greens. It will only rub on steep driveways and not by much.

anyone try squeezing a 225 45 16 tire on with these particular wheels or any +43(or similar) offset wheel? ive searched this before but the results always vary from rubbing, rubbing only at full lock, and no rubbing.
I realize it depends on how low your car is, camber, and if you have rolled fenders but it would be nice to see some ppl post this info as well as some pics.

Same size wheels on my ITR with 205/45-16s and not an issue, The car is about two inches lower then stock on stiff spring with out ever rubbing.
Dont run a 205 on this car. 215/45 is ideal. If the Kumho SPT is still offered in that size, good choice, cheap.
Care to explain?

I have 215/45/16 Hankook Ventus R-S2s on my MF-10s and they rub, but only at near full lock... just because the tires are 215/45s don't mean that they will not rub... all tires are designed differently... I would stay stick with the 205/45 setup for almost any tires... and if you are wanting to run the 215/45 setup, check to see that the tires for that size are near the size of the stock JDM ITR tires because not all 215s will clear the inside fender well of the front wheels... I'm not saying that they won't fit.. my tires fit fine, but when turning it will rub the inside of the well...

Haha. Thats because you are riding round dumped on bumpstops. Raise your car and you won't have that problem. I am still waiting for dude to prove me wrong.
