Default mouting point for race harness?

I am wondering where people mount their racing harness for their seat belts at?

I was planning on getting a C-pillar bar and mounting it there? I really dont know. I have had no experience with this nor has any of my friends.

If someone could post up pics of where to mount or just plain give me options on where to mount that would be great.

Make sure you ger an actual Harness bar. A C pillar bar is generally not strong enuff to act as a harness bar on is own.

For example: look into an Autopower 4pt.

what about a C pillar bar used with say miracle X bar or like a cusco cage? (i know not the best cage and etc )

also with it mounted to point D, can I still have passengers or will it be like having seats belts running above their heads if they were midgits?

All of the above = ****.
If you're going to use harnesses, get a proper roll bar at the least. I also hope you have race seats and not trying to use the OEMs. Once you have a bar back there...the rear seats are just decoration...no passengers. No passengers even without the bar and just harnesses...unless you want to snap their necks in an accident

yeah I understand. i dont really have passengers anyways. I just want a clean look for now as I might be entering the car in a car show if i can get everything bought in time.

On the picture, Point D, can two harness be bolted down there or only one?

Just one per side.

Heres an excellent write up on this

Disclaimer: it is not safe to have all these bars insiade a street driven car. You should absolutely put high density foam covering these bars and wear a helmet while in use. It doesn't take much to crack your melon on a steel bar. And to add to what Doespike said, you will need to replace your seats with "fixed seat backs" for safety.

If you are planning on driving this car at expo it'll need to be stock, or have FIA seats, a 4 point roll bar minimum and 5/6 point harnesses.
