Yeup, thats the code i have and i have the jdm header also.

edit: Don't get too excited when it disappears after 300 or so miles, cause after another 300 or so miles, it'll come back on.

Why does it throw the CEL? Shouldn't it be a non-issue with a highflow cat?

No CEL for me. I have been running the JDM setup for 1 month with 3 autoX's and 1 drag event.

so what the hell is code 67
67-Catalyst System Efficiency System below threshold, bad catalytic converter

I think the cat is too big to stay warm under partial throttle usage. I have stopped using 5th gear unless I am on the interstate (over 65) and have not see the CEL for quite some time.

Pat - so, if I call up Jeg's and order their catalytic system what all is involved with making it fit? Do I need to find a welder to put flanges and etc on the cat? Thanks.

I wonder if the 00-01 are more sensitive to this than the 97-98 ITR's due to higher emission standards.

The few CELs that I've seen have all been on 00-01 cars I believe, and I've thought that what you wrote may be the reason. Willard brings up a good point but CarSound told me the cats needed to be at least 400 degrees to "light" up. I had a customer who used Regain or Chevron Techtron for about half a tank and then reset his ECU and no more codes (at least he hasn't told me of any).
