JDM B18c (Gs-R) compatibility ...with ITR manifold ..B16 ..or Skunk2 manifold
tried the Tech Forum ....no one even looked at my thread
I have the ability to buy a used JDM B18c (gs-r) engine ....
This engine wil be swapped into my DA1 1989 Integra .....but the intake manifold may be conflicting with the firewall ....
seeing as the B16 into a DA1 already has a very tight clearence with the firewall ...
can the B18c (gs-R) head be compatible with a Type R Intake Manifold , or even better a Skunk2 ITR style Manifold that is suppose to have even shorter runners ...
any help will be appreciated ...thanks

TypeR mani doesn't have the same bolt pattern as a GSR head. Skunk makes one for GSR's, but not sure if it will give you enough clearance, that's a pretty tight fit in the 1st gen Integras.

The SiR-G head is a P72 and the ITR/B16/B17 manifolds wont bolt up properly, but you can buy the Skunk2 for P72 heads.
As for clearance, I had my JDM ITR motor in my '92 for over a year and it had about 1.5 inches of clearance from the firewall using the ITR manifold, so at least I can say that the Skunk2 should fit fine.
EDIT: Is DA1 first gen or second? I thought in Japan the second gen's started in late '89.

Yeah, you'd certainly have no problem at all on a 2nd gen, but the older Integras engine bays are tighter. Good luck though, hope it works out for you, would be a nice sleeper
