Default ITR tranny fluid change, can I actually flush out the whole tranny?

I'm curious b/c I DID A SEARCH and I read that you remove only approx. 50% of the tranny fluid in an automatic and the appropriate way to flush it is by using some hydraulic pump or taking it to a professional.

So my question is, can I flush out the tranny on a manual (98 ITR) by simply draining it, or must I take it to my Acura dealership for a complete flush?
