Re: ITR rack ratio... (Doctor CorteZ)
Someone posted changes to the USDM ITR over the years and said the steering rack ratios were 16.0:1 for the 97-98 and 15.7:1 for the 00-01.
I personally never realized they were different and can't even confirm they actually are.

If I remeber right the 16:1 is about 3.5 turns lock to lock...will the 15.7:1 make a noticable enough difference to be worth the trouble of upgrading?

Yes, very nice for $800!!!! I dont consider that an aftermarket steering wheel cause it comes stock on the JDM ITRs even though it is made my momo....
Does anyone know the diameter of the JDM Vs. USDM wheel?

I'm almost 100% sure that changing the steering wheel size does not affect the lock to lock or the rack ratio....No matter what size the wheel is, you will have to turn it 3.5 turns. The effort it would take to turn the wheel would change though with the wheel size...

no he is right about changing to a smaller wheel. The overall turn will be the same beucase the hub is mocing the same distace. But the smaller diameter will make the wheel "feel more responsive" its the same concept of gear ratios.

Re: ITR rack ratio... (InfamousRS)
Anyone know if other Integra racks are the same ratio as the ITR rack? I am replacing my steering rack, and wanna get the right one. If ITR has a quicker ratio, than I will go with that.

I always thought ITR's cant turn much. I mean it has to turn a big circle..
I think it's hard to park ITR's compared to BMW or something like that.
just my 0.02 cents

Re: ITR rack ratio... (PatrickGSR94)
just to clarify...straight from 98+/2000 supplemental Helms(both say same thing)...98+ steering ratio is 16.1 for B18B1, B18C1, and B18C5.

Re: ITR rack ratio... (PatrickGSR94)
ok, i can't find it documented anywhere that the 00/01 itr racks are 15.7:1. i have looked in the helms supplement for the itr for 2000 also. says 16:1. anyone else find it somewhere other than a post here?
