how much would you bid on this wrecked R..?
A friend of mine recently wrecked his R shown here. Unfortunatly he has lost the oportunity to buy it back and it is going up for auction. For the most park the history of the vehical is known. well maintained, 50k on is.. never raced.
The auction costs 200 just to get a bidders pass and i have no idea what these things usually go for. Has anyone ever bid on something like this at an auction?
ive got a good idea what the car is worth, but will the other bidders? what do these usualy go for at an auction?
last auction sold 400 cars and it is every monday.. thats about all i know as far as the auctions history..
The tranny mount was ripped from the rail and a new casing will be needed. Not bad i know, but the gears shift well and linkage is aparently straight.

i bought my caR from a dealer auction in NJ and had it shipped to NM
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1228012
these auctions are very brutal especially when you dont have and $$$
http://www.copart.com
is the car in the copart (dealer auction)? because if it is i will tell you honestly the dealers make the initial bid very low and then the bidding and price jacking from hell begins auction day
if the engine is intact and other body parts are also intact that car is as good as sold for above 3500.
if you would like me to check if it is in copart, pm me the location in the US the caR is located and hope for the best
good luck

It's all based on demand; 1500-2k is about what it would go for over in here at an Adesa auction.

Re: (.Ash)
No more than 3K.
:edit: However, if you really know your friend's car and mods, it might be worth a little more. Since the parts will only bring about 5k (+/-), you'll have to decide what it's worth, depending on whether you want to fix it and have a salvage title R (not bad if you just want to drive or track it, but bad if you want to insure it for full value), or part it out / build an ITR hatchback.
Good luck and happy hunting!
