Default Ground Control Q

Well I am usually a lurker and have been pretty successful with the search button, but I was unable to turn anything up with this one unfortunately. I have a good friend with an EK that has a Koni/GC setup with a pretty good spring rate setup who is looking to get rid of it for something else, and said he would be willing to part the setup out for me. So my question is would these EK Ground Control sleeve/coil setup fit and work on an appropriate ITR Koni strut setup? From everything I have seen it looks like they are the same/will work. He's going to sell them to me for a really good price so that's really the only reason this is coming up. Or is there some definite no-no to doing this?

Thanks!

The set up will fit. The question is will the spring rates will work for your R. Any idea what they are?

Awesome, thanks for the reply. I need to double check but I think they were 400f/350r.

One other question while on the topic. How necessary or important is it to opt for the GC top hats? And are front and rear necessary?

You can lower the car about 1.5....maybe 2" with that setup. 2" would be better with the top hats. The hats are used for extra travel.

I'd take the 350lb springs up front and the 400's in the back. That should be a pretty decent street setup. It'll work at the track as well.

don't mean to thread jack, but how much different would putting the higher spring rate in the rear be compared to putting the higher rate in front ? (of course with stock front 24mm & stock rear 22mm swaybar) ?

I ran a rear biased spring rate and front biased tire stagger.

360/380 and 225/45 front 205/50 rear. Plus lots of front neg camber and a 23mm rear bar.

The car went a couple seconds faster that way and was still comfortable on the street.
